What is 234 Exchange? 234 Exchange is a crypto swap platform that finds you the best rate across 30+ exchanges in real time, plus fast cash-out to Naira. Swaps are non-custodial — your funds never sit with us — and cashing out to Naira settles straight to your bank account.
Why 234, and not just one exchange? The best rate for any swap usually isn't on the exchange you happen to be using — it's somewhere across all of them. For every quote we compare 30+ exchanges, route your swap to the one offering the most, and show you the runner-up rates too, so nothing's hidden.
Do I need an account to swap? No. You can get a quote and complete a crypto-to-crypto swap without creating an account. Cashing out to Naira requires identity verification at the point you complete it (see below).
Which assets can I use? For swaps, thousands of coins across major networks. For cash-out to Naira, you can send BTC or USDT — those are the two assets we settle to Naira.
Swaps
How does a swap work? Enter an amount, choose what you're sending and what you want to receive, and we'll show you the best rate. Pick Fixed or Float, enter your receiving wallet address, then send your crypto to the address shown. Your swap is delivered straight to your wallet.
Fixed rate or Float rate — what's the difference?
- Fixed locks your payout at quote time. You're protected if the market moves while your deposit confirms; it costs slightly more for that certainty.
- Float uses the live market rate at the moment your deposit settles. It's usually a better rate in calm markets, but the final amount can move up or down.
Do you hold my crypto during a swap? No. Swaps are non-custodial — your funds route directly through the exchange to your own wallet. 234 never takes custody of your crypto on a swap.
How long does a swap take? Usually a few minutes. It depends on network confirmations for the coin you send and the route your swap takes.
There's a countdown on my rate — what is it? On a Fixed rate, your quoted rate is held for a limited window, shown as a countdown. Send your deposit within that window to lock in the amount you were quoted. If it expires before your deposit arrives, you'll simply get a fresh quote.
What if I send the wrong amount? Small differences are handled automatically at your locked rate. If the amount is well outside the quote, it's settled at the live rate for what actually arrived, or returned to you. Always send the exact amount shown.
What if I send the wrong coin or wrong network? Send only the exact asset and network shown on the deposit screen — the page warns you which one. Assets sent on the wrong network can be lost, so double-check before sending.
Can I cancel a swap? Because swaps are non-custodial and settle on-chain, they can't be cancelled once you've sent your deposit. Before you send, you can change anything or simply walk away — nothing happens until your crypto arrives. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Cash-out to Naira
How do I cash out to Naira? Choose Cash out, select BTC or USDT, and enter an amount — you'll see your exact Naira payout before anything else. Add your bank details, verify your identity, then send your crypto to the address shown. Your Naira is paid to your bank account.
Which coins can I cash out to Naira? BTC and USDT.
How fast is the Naira payout? It settles to your bank account in minutes, once your deposit has confirmed.
How many confirmations do you need? Two confirmations — you'll see the progress on your tracker.
Why do I need to verify my identity to cash out, but not to swap? Cashing out to Naira involves settling to a bank account, which is a regulated activity and requires identity verification. Crypto-to-crypto swaps are non-custodial and don't.
Do you check my bank account before paying? Yes — we confirm the account holder's name before releasing your Naira, to protect against wrong-account and fraud errors.
Which banks are supported? Nigerian bank accounts, paid via instant transfer.
Can I cash out other coins besides BTC and USDT? Not directly. You can swap another coin into BTC or USDT first, then cash that out to Naira.
Fees & rates
What are the fees?
- Swaps: the fee is already included in the rate you see — the amount quoted is what you receive on a Fixed rate.
- Cash-out to Naira: a 0.5% fee, shown before you confirm.
Why is the rate different from the market price I see elsewhere? The rate you get is a real, executable rate — it already accounts for the exchange's spread and the fee, and a Fixed rate carries a small premium for locking it. That's why it's a little different from a mid-market reference price.
Are there any hidden fees? No. On a Fixed rate, the amount you're quoted is the amount you receive. On cash-out, your Naira payout is shown up front, fee included.
Security & trust
Is 234 Exchange safe to use? On swaps, your funds go wallet-to-wallet and never touch us — there's no counterparty risk on our side. On cash-out, we only briefly handle your crypto to settle your Naira, under secure custody with transaction screening throughout.
Do you hold my money? Not on swaps — those are fully non-custodial. On a cash-out, we receive your crypto only for as long as it takes to pay out your Naira.
How do you protect against fraud and money laundering? Every cash-out is screened for compliance, we verify the beneficiary bank account, and transactions are checked against sanctions and risk lists. Identity verification applies to cash-outs.
Verification & compliance
Do I need to complete KYC? Not for crypto-to-crypto swaps. For cash-out to Naira, yes — you'll verify your identity at the point of cashing out.
What information do you collect, and how is it used? Only what's needed to provide the service and meet our legal obligations. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
My transaction is being reviewed / was held — why? Occasionally a transaction is held for a compliance check. If that happens, contact support and we'll help resolve it.

Troubleshooting & support
My swap or payout is taking longer than expected. Most complete within minutes, but network congestion can add time. You can follow your order on the tracker; if it's stuck, contact support with your order reference.
I sent to the wrong address or wrong network — can you help? On-chain transfers can't be reversed, and assets sent on the wrong network may be unrecoverable. Always check the address and network on the deposit screen before sending. If something's gone wrong, contact support as soon as you can.
